PONKODIHI
Pankadihi is a village in the Gurundia Subdivision of Sundargarh district in Odisha, India. It's part of the 770037 postal area and is considered a rural administrative part of Gurundia Sub-District. In the year 2011 census, Pankadihi had a population of about 2855, with 1414 males and 1441 females.
While Pankadihi itself doesn't have a detailed historical narrative available, it's situated within the larger context of Rourkela and the Sundargarh district. Rourkela's history is largely associated with the steel plant established in 1953, transforming it from a relatively untouched area to an industrial hub. The Sundargarh district, including Pankadihi, is recognized as an industrial district in Odisha, with 17 blocks, including Gurundia.
Pankadihi's specific history is likely rooted in the local traditions and practices of its inhabitants, which may include traditional agriculture and village-level governance. The village likely reflects the broader demographic and social structures of the Gurundia Sub-District and the Sundargarh district as a whole.
