Leprosy care is in 1959 started to serve the leprosy patients in their huts, their life was in  misery, poverty . From St. Raphael Mother Baptista went 3 times a week to the huts where the lepers were living. Fr. Bernard Wineuski helped her in every way. With the help of many people they purchased land on the Sanwer Road and began  of “Ishwas".The word Ishawas  means "God's" dwelling place. The first houses were blessed in Ishawas by Mgr. Bozen from Italy. Here about 40 families were living. There is a St. Damian Chapel where Holy Mass is offered. There is a weaving centre, where saries, dhotis, sheets etc. are woven, patients worked and few are still working here. Some of the patients go to work in the centre as gardeners, gatekeepers, peons etc.

A big plot of land in Pallia, a “Model Farm was bought. There are 18 houses 6x3 group spread over the land. The leprosy patients men and women work in the fields and the produce of the land is used for the patients from Isawaas, Pallia and the outdoor stations as  Ujjain and Dewas.
